About the tea
Sourced exclusively from the renowned Monte Metilile Estate in the mountainous Gurué district of Mozambique, this tea is a testament to the power of organic agriculture. Grown in pristine, rich red soils without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, the leaf retains a stunning purity of flavour that mass-produced teas simply cannot match.
Because this is a CTC (Cut, Torn, Curled) tea, it offers the satisfying strength and deep copper colour of a classic breakfast brew. However, the unique terroir and organic cultivation result in a liquor that is exceptionally smooth. It delivers a rich, malty depth without the harsh bitterness or astringency often found in stronger teas.
It is a rare find: a robust daily tea with an eco-conscious soul. The integrity of the leaf makes it incredibly versatile—it has the body to carry milk perfectly for a hearty morning cup, yet it is clean and balanced enough to be enjoyed black. A sustainable, smooth, and deeply satisfying choice for the modern tea drinker.
